Oil Pulling Challenge

I am learning about oil pulling. I am giving myself a challenge to do this for 10 straight days. This will be from December 18-December 28, 2014.

We will see what happens! ! ! !

Lovely snow day today! lr6u43ty

Day 1: oil pulling. I put a couple tsp. coconut oil in my mouth and swished for about 5 minutes. Teeth feel clean. I spit it out in the trash can lined with plastic bag like they said too. I brushed and flossed afterwards. Hoping to work up to 15-20 minutes.

Day 2 Dec. 19: oil pulling. This morning I swished about 1 1/2 tsp. coconut oil for about 16 minutes. Again, my mouth feels clean!

Day 3 Dec. 20, Day 4, Dec. 21, Day 5, Dec. 22, Day 6, Dec. 23 Day 7 Dec. 24 Day 8 Dec. 25 – All these days I swished and jumped on nice little rebounder. The blood takes 20 minutes to circulate throughout the body once, so that is why it is recommended to swish the oil for that long. I think with jumping the blood moves faster through the body; On these days I jumped and swished anywhere from 10-20 minutes. I’m getting the hang of it.

back to the blog

I lost the book that had my password in it since I had changed it and so I never could get back on here, then I listened to the 700 Club show today about hoarding and decided to go through my books on the bookshelf and either list some of them on Amazon or give some away. There was my green book with my password, so here I am again.

ImageToday is the National Day of prayer. I found this prayer guide I intend to follow indefinitely. http://commit2pray.com/7×7/

Some tulips in bloom, but alas, snow is expected tonight 1-3 inches. Oh dear, the tulips can probably handle it and also anything else growing outside.

The farmer market begins tomorrow. I told the guy I would not come because of the weather and he said. that is fine, probably a wise decision. In a week the weather should be a balmy 69 degrees.

a good helping the homeless idea!

Maundy Thursday

Today is Maundy Thursday, a day to remember Jesus eating His last supper with His disciples which led up to His crucifixion and then resurrection.

I am busy cleaning and planning for family Easter dinner at our house. It’s a matter of cleaning bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming, straightening up and planning and fixing the meal. It will be a nice day to remember the new life we have because of Jesus’ obedience.

“He became obedient unto death.” –Phil. 2:8

Thank you, Lord, for Your perfect sacrifice!

I enjoy seeing the new growth of the lettuce and making a couple other swc containers and transplanting other plants and seeing seedlings grow. It’s getting springy out even though some snow is still with us.

Dear hubby is snow plowing on this lovely March 23 snowy day. The following photo is at 6:20 p.m. I guess we could call it a spring wonderland !

I thought of a project to do. Found these molding boards on side of the street along with that box I recovered. This will be better for my spices – the boxes worked okay but have to look through all of them to find something – excited about my new idea, except I have to wait for some touch up white paint to dry before putting spices on it.

alrighty – got it done – much better

March 22 – snow :(

Here we are a couple days into Spring with possible 8 inches more of snow coming our way by Sunday 😦

3.21.13It started to look springy a couple days ago, then the flakes started. But, I was born during the ’51 flood and it was snowing/sleeting on that day in April, so nothing has changed that much.

diet: must do better – I plan to weigh in on Monday so must eat lots of celery 🙂

organizing and cleaning house: must do better but have lots of time to work on it considering I’ll probably be shut in through Sunday at least

bought a bunch of books for 50 cents or less at salvation army – most of them I can’t sell but they are all good to read. (can’t sell them on amazon because there are already bunches of them for sale for 1 cent )

Here are a couple of fun ideas to do:

onions

This isn’t my onion picture, but it gave me the idea to do this with garlic (picture below) – we’ll see how it goes; maybe I’ll put more garlic in, but probably too late now – too hard to cut the holes with the soil already in, but I can always make another.

Another was made – 26 cloves rather than 14:
