Friday I bought a box of canner tomatoes from the farmers market. Since I don’t can, I will freeze them according to these directions. So glad they can be frozen with the skins on.
I made guacamole for the first time ever that I remember. All it takes is:
3 ripe avocados, mashed
juice of 1 lime
Mix it in a bowl and add other things if you like. I added chopped red onion, cilantro and tomato.
The guys I live with loved it (that would be hubby and his brother).
Also made bars; haven’t tried them yet. Got recipe from here.
My next cooking project is preserving lemons. I have the lemons and the recipe so one of these days I will get going.

Cut the lemons in quarters, but not clear through. This is how the Moroccans (tricky spelling this word) do it.
All 4 lemons stuffed in the quart sized jar.
Now wait 3 or 4 days and add juice of 4 lemons. They are patiently waiting in the ‘fridge!
