got my hair cut

I was so tired of my hair being all over, so went to Great Clips and here is the result 🙂

The girls were so bored; not a busy day there. The one who cut my hair said, she had been reading her car manual 🙂 Last night the Royals lost and the Chiefs won, so the Monday morning drags, I guess.

going to town with rag rugs

I’ve become quite obsessed with this. I even got up at 2:26 because the dog barked. I couldn’t find her and finally checked the bathroom and there she was and couldn’t get out. I took her outside and then tried to go back to sleep and couldn’t so worked on the rag bowl/basket thing for about 45 minutes. Thankfully I got some sleep after that.

The bowl/basket; you can add handles to these but think I won’t on this one. To make a bowl or basket, just stop increasing when you want it to go up. unnamed (52)

And starting a looser one with sheets; it will be larger, about 36″ X 24″ for a possible bath mat. Here is how to tell how big to make an oval rug. The starter should be the difference between the length and width, so the starter is about 12 inches. unnamed (54)

apple butter recipe (no sugar added)

I’ve made this tonight and it will cook all night.


21 medium apples (Jonathan, Gala or Fuji)
4 1/2 c. apple juice
6 T. ACV
3 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 tsp. nutmeg
3/4 tsp. cloves
1/3 tsp. salt

Core and slice with skins on. Add to 6 qt. crockpot and and also the rest of the ingredients. Stir to coat. Cover and cook on low 12 hours or over night. Turn off; let cool for 1 hour,. Blend it in blender. Cool. Refrigerate for 2 weeks or freeze for 6 months.
