I tried rooting a bit of ginger in dirt and it is sprouting. The sprouts are edible.
I read that ginger can be a menace and will kill everything around it if planted outside, but our place in the world will kill it over winter so no problem with that here.
Is fun to see it take off and grow. I did read somewhere that it’s good to plant them in about 1″ sections, rather than the 3″ I have here.
