just little things blanket

This would be a wonderful project for the new year – must do it !
Here it isΒ

I’ve enjoyed putting out 20 of these little I love you β™₯s. Only 4 I gave to actual people and they were happy for them. It helps to do this for some reason.

30-Day Challenge: Move a Mile a Day

This came up somewhere, so why not do it???

30-Day Challenge

In other news, I am making little β™₯s for #yarnifiedlovebombs and giving them away or putting them places. So far, I’ve given out 7 and put one in each of 7 bags for houseless ladies I hope to see on Sunday. I’m putting other things in the bags also.

Life is good when we focus on others ~ fun even πŸ™‚

I found these 2 books at a collector’s store in Leavenworth, KS last Monday ~ what a find ! ! ! My grandmother had one of these at her home and I loved reading the true accounts of life as it was in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The original was published in the mid-50s and these are reprints from the late ’70s. We enjoy the true short accounts of people’s experiences with wild animals, Indians, etc. etc.

interesting pattern that makes a square

2-24-17-005

I had a pattern to make a baby bib, which I did; it’s basically half of what you see here, except it has ties. For this I CO 49 sts, knitted 1 row and then knitted 19 sts, carried 1 stitch from left needle to right needle, put right needle through 2 sts as if to knit, then passed carried over stitch over those 2 sts. This makes a double decrease (DD). Then knit the remaining 19 sts. Knit next row back. Proceed in this way; next, knit 18 sts, do the DD and knit remaining 18 sts and knit the row back.

It ends up making a square. You can use whatever size knitting needle you wish.

diaper cake

I’ve always admired diaper cakes – I had a chance to give one away when some people wanted to use our church for a baby shower, however they decided to use a different facility – but all is not lost – there is an auction I can donate it to for people taking foster kids to a camp this summer. Here is the diaper cake and little diaper dolls using socks & washcloths. Fun!

Yesterday was sunny and we spend 5 hours out and about and went to some cool stores in the west bottoms where they took old buildings and use them to sell out of. Here are a few things I liked:
